Who we are
Mistakeology, the systematic study of mistakes, is a Mr Purple initiative. Mr Purple is the business coaching practice of Dr Tom Hitchcock, based in New South Wales. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Contact details you give us through our contact form: your name, email address, phone number, how you prefer to talk, and what you want to talk about.
Booking details when you book a conversation through Calendly.
This site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Like any website, our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
Please keep it general
We do not need health information, or personal details about anyone else, to talk about a mistake. Please leave those out unless we have agreed that you need to share them.
How we use your details
To reply to you and arrange the conversation you asked for.
Where you have agreed to it, to send you Mistakeology and Mr Purple news. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and we act on it.
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone else to market to you.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need: our contact form is handled by Mr Purple’s website, our records and email by GoHighLevel and Google, and bookings by Calendly. Some of these store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
For as long as we have a working relationship with you, and after that for as long as the law requires, which is usually seven years for anything with a financial record attached. Then we delete it or remove the details that identify you.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, or to correct them. Email tom@mrpurple.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
